Christmas Wishes hostess card features a gift tag in a pocket

This quick card uses the Santa image from the Holiday Catalog hostess set Christmas Wishes. I made a tag using Real Red and Old Olive ink pads, a circle punch and some taffeta ribbon and linen thread. This was one of the designs at Ginette's 10-card class Tuesday. I posted the first one yesterday.

The card has a 4-1/4" x 2" piece of Polka Dot Parade dsp layered on a scallop trim border punched strip of Real Red card stock. The adhesive is only on the sides and bottom of the patterned piece of paper.

If you love embossing - but don't need a die-cutting machine - this adorable Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine may be what you're looking for! SU! has only 4,000 available in a test run. The machine works with our embossing folders. It's $29.95, which includes the embossing pads and one Mylar shim (item 132657). If you want a bundle that includes the above plus the Flower Garden and Stripes embossing folders, use Item 132700. The cost is $39.95.

Today I'm grateful I belong to the Poulsbo Lions Club and am able to support the community in which I live, as well as being a part of the International Lions Club which helps people all over the world get relief from everything from natural disasters (such as Super Storm Sandy) to diseases and more.
